After testing the system mAIWeb with a group of users, certain results were extracted regarding users' performance at the examination and their navigational behaviour.

Users' Academic Performance Results

The methodology and control hypothesis were successful since an increased performance is observed by users interacting and learning through matched environments.  For better visualization there follows a graph:

Phase1Results

Initial indications show a significant correlation between the Cognitive Processing factors used, not only between the cognitive factors but also with regards to the performance of the subjects.   Subjectively, with regards to the cognitive learning styles it has been proven that Imagers, Verbalizers, Wholists and Analysts perform better in environments of their type whereby it has been shown significant correlation with the second dimension, the Working Memory Span parameter.

Navigational Behaviour Results

This functionality was tested for Intermediate and Analyst type users since they are the only types to receive a list of contents for navigation support.

In general, it has been noticed that Intermediates do not prefer the list of contents for navigation, but they usually use the simple navigation method through Next >> and << Previous links.  Whenever an Intermediate used the list of contents was to access a previous chapter with important information regarding the lesson.

Considering Analysts, we observed that most of them ignored pages with repeated concepts, such as examples, and browsed following pages with new material.  Concluding, usually Analysts navigate in a ascending order but not necessarily serial.
