evaluation of InteliWeb mobile
scientific results / evaluation of InteliWeb mobile
The testing of InteliWeb mobile included two phases: i) The experimental phase conducted
by a group of BETA testers and ii) The mAIWeb performance evaluation conducted with
the help of on-line tools.
Experimental Phase
In this phase, a number of experiments were implemented in controlled environments
with regards to two dimensions giving match and mismatch environments, depending
on the factor which was controlled each time.
The main hypothesis was that users in matched environment perform better than those
in mismatched conditions. The initial evaluative results were really encouraging
for the future of our work since we found that in many cases there is high positive
correlation of matched conditions with performance, as well as between the dimensions
of the various factors of our model.
This fact demonstrates the effectiveness of incorporating human factors not only
in Web-based environments, as proven with the AdaptiveWeb evaluation, but in mobile
Web-based personalized environments also.

Performance Evaluation Phase
Besides the evaluation of the theoretical background of mAIWeb, a performance evaluation
was necessay mainly due to the fact that mAIWeb is designed for the mobile Web.
Hence, a variety of tests were taken to determine the technical requirements and
performance of the system. For this effort two of the most popular on-line
evaluation tools were used, namely,
ready.mobi and
W3C mobileOK
Checker .
